Desmond O'Grady Poetry Competition
Monday nugget about a poetry competition run by the Limerick Writers' Centre.
Limerick City has a facility that many writers in South-East Ireland would be envious of – a writers’ centre. Limerick Writers’ Centre organises many events for its members and the writerly community of the Mid-West.
The latest one is the Desmond O’Grady Poetry Competition, held in honour of Limerick poet Demond O’Grady, who died in 2014.

Entries are now open for the competition and you’ve a bit of time to mull over your entry, as the closing date is Saturday 16 March. There’s no complicated entry system – you simply email limerickwriterscentre@gmail.com. You can get rules and further info on the Limerick Writers’ Centre website.
