Celebrating the quiet glory of bread and butter writing.
It's a mighty thing to have a purpose in life. My purpose in life is to write. Even if my words never see the light of day, I'll still write. But I've another purpose as well, to help people with their writing.
Lately I've been busy with 'jam and cream' work, which brings me glory. But bread and butter work is also satisfying. I think of it in terms of crusty bread with melty golden butter, sustaining and glorious in its own right. And it brings me money.

Now that September's come, I'm blowing the cobwebs off the writing services I offer to writers, entrepreneurs and community groups, under the name WriteWords. Here's a flavour of the bread and butter services I offer.

Helping Entrepreneurs Create Colourful Content
(Sorry, couldn't resist the alliteration)
I enjoy working with entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are hugely creative in their own right, dynamic and full of energy. I've developed a Bestselling Content Creation course to help them write creative marketing content.
The course is inspired by the techniques of bestselling authors. It aims to show them that writing marketing content needn't be like a boring school essay. And it actually gets results.
Helping People Write Books
I offer a Writing With Me service that helps people take their book from idea to publication. I can either create a structure for you that will make writing the book easier, or I can critique your book draft so you can take it to the next level.
I'm offering this service to entrepreneurs too, because a lot of them are interested in writing business books.
Creative Writing Workshops
I'm still mad about giving workshops and they'll always be the mainstay of my writing services. I'll be doing a schools residency in the coming months and I'll be helping people to perform their writing through Speak Up.
Share World of Writing
But my main focus is on the arts and health/arts and disability field. I want to continue helping people with various conditions and disabilities to discover the power of words. Watch this space for opportunities I'll be pursuing in that field.

I'll be helping to run the SpeakEasy open mic event as part of Waterford Writers' weekend. Of course, our event is pure brilliant, featuring the author Colin Barrett and the presentation of the Waterford Poetry Prize.
