How To Buy Tickets For My Show
Tickets are now on sale for my Clonmel performance of People Wipe Me. Find out more in this post.
There's great excitement at People Wipe Me Towers – tickets are on sale for my first performance of my one-woman show at Cluain Coffee Shop in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Woop, woop, woop! At long last.
Now I've landed my tour dates, my biggest task is to tell people about the shows so there'll be bums on seats. I need to tell people very clearly, over and over again, how to book for the tour. So, here's the breakdown of how to book the tickets for Clonmel.
How To Book Your Tickets
You book the tickets at Cluain. Only at Cluain. For those living in Clonmel, drop into Cluain Restaurant, next to the courthouse, and you can purchase them there. The tickets are €25 each and for that, you'll get a meal and a show. The meal is at 6pm; the show is at 7pm and it lasts 60 minutes.
You pay for the tickets in person at Cluain, via cash or card. You can reserve tickets by phone on 083-0880477, but you then pay for them at Cluain within seven days of booking.
Hope that's clear enough. If it isn't, don't worry. You can get in touch with me on 0876959799 or derbhile@writewordseditorial.ie and I'll answer your questions.
Rehearsing the Show
My other big task, equally as important, is to rehearse the show so I can make it as brilliant as possible for you fine people. I rehearse the show every morning first thing, wearing my People Wipe Me and using my props. As I move closer to the date, I will rehearse it more, in front of discerning people who I know will help me take it to the next level.
Generating Publicity for the Show
As this gig is in my home town, word of mouth will be hugely important in selling the tickets. I'll be telling as many of the people I know as possible. But I'll also be spreading the word in my social media pieces, in this blog and through the press.
I still think the local press is really important if you want publicity for local happenings. People still like reading listings in the paper.
But I'll also bring my press strategy into the 21st century by approaching a local podcast, The Clonmel Podcast who are great for publicising local happenings.
As the date grows closer, I'll be plastering the town with posters and I'll be feverishly posting on social media. And if all goes to plan, all the tables at Cluain Coffee Shop, complete with fetching table clothes, will be full of bodies.
If you want to keep up with the latest news on my one-woman show and other writerly happenings, hit the big blue button. Or share the post with your friends and ask them to do the same. Thanks for reading.
