I'm fierce excited to let you know that I'll be taking off on a three-date tour for People Wipe Me in early 2023. Truly, it's the play that keeps on giving.
Here are the deets, as the young ones say.
Thursday 19 January – Wexford. Either Wexford Arts Centre or Presentation Arts Centre Enniscorthy.
Thursday 2 February – The Source Arts Centre, Thurles, Co. Tipperary
Thursday 23 February – Gealach Gorm Theatre, Kill, Co. Waterford.
As this post hits your inboxes, I'll be performing the show for my new director/rehearsal partner, James Power of Stagemad Theatre. And his lighting person, Andrew Dunphy. Yes, it looks like I may finally have a lighting plan for this play.
Photo Description: Here is the logo for Stagemad Theatre Company, whose director James Power will be helping me hit the road in January. It’s a red logo with Stagemad Theatre Company in white writing and a black face in silhouette.
Testing Myself As A Performer
And I'll need it, because I'll be performing the plays in honest to Jaysus theatres this time. And that comes with challenges. Travelling through the bleak midwinter. Half-empty theatres. Silent audiences.
It's time for me to step up as a performer. If I deliver this tour successfully, I'll know that I have what it takes to be a performer, no matter what the conditions are.
