Rubble
I wrote this piece following an injury I sustained on the ski slopes. Part of it was published in the Waterford Writers’ Anthology Volume 2 in 2019.
Monday
You have spent your life waiting for the ground to open up, and one day it does. You are on a ski slope. Not a steep one, just a baby one, warming up. You are inching forward, taking a careful turn, when a body slams into yours.
