Writer Beware is a blog that makes people aware of scams in the publish industry so they won’t be fooled by them. If you’ve received an email from a ‘publishing company’ that seems too good to be true, you can check ton Writer Beware to see if the company in question is a scam operator.
There are many people who are happy to tread on the dreams of emerging writer. Armed with this blog, you can make sure you’re not taken in.
Robin Houghton Poetry Magazine Roundup
I admire those who dedicate their time to curating roundups of poetry and literary journals that you can submit to. Robin Houghton lists publications accepting submissions on her website and you can also subscribe to her quarterly newsletter, which lists the submission windows for major poetry magazines. Workshop Bonanza for June…
… well, more specifically for the end of June. Bookings have opened for my Feast for the Senses memoir workshop in the Japanese Gardens on Sunday 30 June. There are a mere 10 places, so book here if you want to snag one of them. And before that, I’m giving a creative writing workshops to celebrants, of which more next week.
