I admire your honesty and your healthy attitude to the matter of publishing, Derbhile. I've been there too and I know that whatever our attitude a rejection slip is still a jolt. However you are doing so much excellent work with open mics and workshops etc that you can be sure you are appreciated and respected which is a wonderful thing.
